Regular Training Sessions
“Easter paddle in the spring sunshine. Working on our power and catch through the stroke.”
Pink Paddles: Sunday mornings
(Once a month, usually 1st Sunday of each month)
Every month Pool of Life has a ‘pink paddle’ outing for members who want a gentler session or for new members who want to come along and have a go (typically the first Sunday in the month). We normally have a tour of the docks, whilst undertaking technical training on our paddle stroke.
Meet at the Watersports Centre at 9.30 am, for warm up at 9.45, paddle 10.00-12.00, ending with a cool down. Most Pink Paddles take in a visit to Costa in the Albert Dock.
Please contact us to let us know you are interested in aattending.
See you on the water!
Intermediate Paddle Sessions
(Once a month, usually 3rd Sunday of each month.)
Intermediate 10.00am – 11.15am.
Intermediate sessions are a great way of improving your paddling technique and building your stamina. More advanced techniques such as race starts, pause action, feathering will be taught. We will race against the clock and try and improve our times.
The sessions will be longer, typically an hour and a half on the water. There won’t be a coffee break! Anyone who needs a rest can bring their paddle in to the boat.
We may be preparing for a specific Dragon Boat racing event, or just improving our style and fitness levels.
If you have enjoyed the Pink Paddles this is a great way to take your paddling to the next level.
